Dataset Attributes
Attribute Description
Abundance Measure of abundance of the organism recorded
County The name of the county within which the record was made
Lake code Unique Water Framework Directive code to identify each lake
Position Record position on the 100m transect used as part of the lake survey. The 100m transect is usually perpendicular to the shore. Position 0 is the shore, Position 1 = 2.5m from shore, Position 2 = 5m from shore, Position 3 = 7.5m from shore, Position 4 = 10m from shore, Position 5 = 25m from shore, Po
Position Depth Water depth at which a sample was taken. As the majority of macrophytes found are rooted to the substrate it is the depth of water under which the macrophytes are growing.
Position distance(m) This is the distance in meters from the lake shore (usually along the transect)
